Installing drywall panels
Removal of partitions with plasterboard tiles Gypsum-cardboard (gypsum-cardboard) This is the most common material for building partitions.
- It is easy to build
- It is ecologically clean
- It is easy to process
- It has perfect symmetry
- Low cost of building a partition structure
- Means of mechanical processing
Easy to build: This is one of the most important positive aspects of this material. You can assemble it even without experience (although we do not recommend it). For installation, you need to tie the frame with a metal profile. After that, attach a plaster-cardboard tile to the profile. Most importantly, there is no noise and pollution in the working space after these works.
Environmentally friendly: During the production of drywall panels, environmentally safe modified gypsum is used, covered with a thick cardboard sheet. The frame is made of metal with a protected surface. Drywall panels are completely safe for both humans and animals.

It is environmentally friendly:
We can cut the gypsum-cardboard tile to the desired size. We can also make arched constructions, transitions, niches and decorative shelves. All you need is a paper cutter and a pencil.
In the case of using two-layer gypsum-cardboard, the assembled frame is covered with gypsum-cardboard tiles on both sides, the remaining void is an ideal place for any necessary communication. The relative fluidity of the tiles determines the ease of drilling.Gypsum-cardboard tiles are very easy to paint later.
Disadvantages of drywall panels:
- Low durabilit
- Less resistance to moisture
- Weak sound insulation

Low stability
The stability of plasterboard directly depends on its thickness. It is precisely for this reason that it is recommended to use 12.5 mm thick double gypsum-cardboard tiles during the construction of partitions.

Weak sound insulation
Weak sound insulation: The acoustic insulation of a single-layer drywall is 44 decibels. According to sound insulation standards, this corresponds to:
Interior partitions: 43 dB Bathrooms: 47 dB Between two apartments: 54 dB
For double-layer drywall, additional sound insulation with rock wool is recommended. In this case, sound insulation can reach 56 dB, meeting all requirements. Lower resistance to moisture: To increase moisture resistance of drywall panels, it is recommended to purchase panels treated with a hydrophobic solution. This provides 60–70% moisture resistance. If additional waterproofing is applied, resistance can reach 100%.

Less resistance to moisture
In order to increase the moisture resistance of plasterboard tiles, it is recommended to buy tiles that are saturated with a hydrophobic solution. This will give you 60-70% moisture resistance.
